Jennifer Hart was born in Derby, Western Australia, 23.3.1950.
Her parents were Gladys and Johnny Hart. Johnny was a drover and once boasted that he carried Jenny 100 miles on horseback when she was a baby. The family travelled around the Top End and Northern Territory following the work, and lived in places such as Pine Creek, Ferguson River, Katherine, Mataranka and Larrimah. Jenny has a natural love for the bush which reflects in her artwork. Jenny has lived most of her adult life in Darwin, NT.
