Today’s Food, Fire and Culture event on Larrakia Country was a fantastic success!

Alongside Ironbark Aboriginal Corporation, the ABT team hosted a bush food workshop and community cook-up with Fire & Forage and Aboriginal Community Harvest, celebrating the incredible flavours, knowledge and cultural connections of native foods.

Guests enjoyed a delicious feast featuring paperbark-cooked barramundi, curry mud crab, crimson snapper nummus and buffalo sausages. It was a wonderful day of sharing food, culture and community, and showcasing the richness of Aboriginal food knowledge and traditions.

We were also pleased to have Jacinta Numina Waugh speaking with guests about her arts practice and sharing insights into her work. Jacinta’s beautiful artworks are available through our online store — the link is in our bio.
