LET’S HELP MERREPEN GET PRINTING AGAIN!
At Merrepen Arts, their fabric printing workshop and sewing rooms are currently under 170cm of water — higher than the 1998 floods. And with more water on the way, it’s not over yet.
The Daly River region has already flooded twice this wet season, forcing the community to evacuate to Darwin — twice. Many families are still here, unable to return home.
They haven’t been able to get back to assess the damage, but they know it will be significant. There’s a long clean-up ahead, and vital equipment will need replacing — much of it uninsured due to their location.
It’s going to take time to recover, and they can’t do it alone.
It might take months – that’s why they need our help. If you can, please support their crowdfunding campaign and take a minute to learn about Merrepen Arts and the Daly Region.
