Lemon Myrtle Tea

Anti-inflammatory | Calming | Antimicrobial

Lemon Myrtle (Backhousia citriodora) is known to possess antiseptic, antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties. It is calming and soothing and it has a strong lemony lolly aroma with some menthol notes. Lemon Myrtle has been shown to be a diuretic so it helps the body get rid of extra fluid and salt. It has also been shown to be carminative which means it may help relieve bloating.

Ingredients:

100% Lemon Myrtle leaves grown by us also sourced from First Nations Growers

Brewing: Use ½ to 1 teaspoon (depending on strength of brew you want) and steep for 2-4 minutes. Save some of the liquid to put in your water bottle to add a slight flavour to your water.

Available in 9g tin

Vegan

Gluten Free / Dairy Free

100% Australian grown and made

Provenance

  • We grow our own Lemon Myrtle in Strathalbyn plus we buy from First Nations growers in WA
  • We package the leaves at our Strathalbyn manufacturing facility.

Wakirlpirri is a very useful tree that grows on the sides of creek beds and near mulga trees. The seeds of this tree can be eaten raw or cooked on the fire. A deliciously sweet drink called yinjirrpi is made from the seeds when they have been dried. The wood can be used to make weapons such as karli (boomerangs) and dancing boards for ceremonies.
