Proper (a word meaning ‘completely’ / ‘thoroughly’ / ‘totally’ when combined with an adjective) Flash (slang for ‘fancy’ / ‘cool’) is a phrase many use to describe our Social Enterprise Hub in Alice Springs.

We started making bush balms over the fire in the backyard of Purple House and from there it grew and grew. In 2020 we bought a house in old Eastside and renovated it into a beautiful bush medicine making kitchen and gift shop. The space celebrates culture, language, Country and family. When we first brought patients over to have a look, they walked through the doors and said ‘Yukai! This is PROPER FLASH!’
