Arnhem Bushtucker has been bringing you the wild flavours of the Northern Territory Top End since 1993. The business is owned by Bob and Mandy Sandery and we run the whole operation from our farm in the Top End rural area.
We have a policy of sourcing as many products as we can locally.
At the end of the wet season we employ local Indigenous people to harvest Kakadu plums and during the dry season, our tomatoes are purchased from Kalano Aboriginal community in Katherine.
Native tomatoes grow in central Australia and are bush harvested by the local ladies. The rosella crop is now grown on our own property due to difficulty of sourcing large quantities in the wild. We plant the seed at the start of the wet season and the rosella calyxes are cut, de-seeded, washed and in the freezer by May.
We also grow pesticide free chillies, limes and mangoes which are used in the making of our jams, sauces and chutneys.
